The year 2025 marks the 200th anniversary of the ground breaking of the Delaware & Hudson Canal. The Delaware & Hudson Transportation Heritage Council (DHTHC) initiated a series of commemorative events celebrating various noteworthy events in this important history, which will run through 2029. As part of this effort, the D&H Canal Museum’s next DePuy History lecture series will feature DHTHC President and D&H Historian Bill Merchant, who will present The D&H Canal and Gravity Railroad Today.
